Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Tech to join our team at the Brattleboro Retreat. As a Behavioral Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct supervision and patient support to children, adolescents, and adults who have been hospitalized for mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and patient support to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Organize and run group programs to foster social skills and community building.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a human service related field with an emphasis on behavioral sciences, or high school diploma and preferably 2 years of related experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with co-workers and all members of the treatment team.
- Current active VT Nursing Assistant licensure preferred.
- Valid driver's license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges.
Additional Requirements for Residential and ARCC Behavioral Tech Positions:
- Bachelor's degree and 21 years of age, with experience working with children and youth; or high school diploma or GED and 21 years of age, with two years' experience interacting with children and youth.
- Valid driver's license without any record of motor vehicle violations or convictions limiting driving privileges for day or evening shifts. Valid unrestricted driver's license is preferred for overnight shifts.
