Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve annual and long-term revenue goals.
- Lead a team of development professionals in cultivating and stewarding major and corporate donors, as well as managing special events and campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, prospects, and stakeholders to ensure a culture of philanthropy and community engagement.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement organizational strategies that align with the mission and vision of Sankofa CDC.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in fundraising and philanthropy, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and growth in our development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts and leading development teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience working in a non-profit or community development organization.
- Knowledge of CRM software and other fundraising tools.
