Program Director

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential program, ensuring compliance with Federal Bureau of Prisons standards and regulations, and supervising case management staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage residential participant services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, contracts, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain the program's and residents' compliance with Federal Bureau of Prisons standards and regulations.
- Ensure that program facilities are in compliance with federal, state, and municipal codes, regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Manage and track the program's safety efforts, ensuring that safety requirements are being met.
- Promote and enforce program policies and procedures.
- Facilitate a quality control program throughout all managed areas, ensuring that quality outcomes are achieved.
- Work with residential staff and inmates to coordinate and accomplish activities involving inmates.
- Meet with staff on a regular basis to provide coaching and evaluation of training needs.
- Attend staff meetings, house meetings, and Neighborhood Association meetings as needed.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and trainings.
- Assist with development and implementation of program public relations and advocacy activities.
- Maintain a flexible schedule that meets program needs, responding to calls, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Manage the accreditation process as prescribed by ACA.
- Ensure that the facility is in compliance with PREA standards and requirements.
- Evacuate with the facility during inclement weather and shelter in place as needed.
- Supervise the case management department, including case managers and employment specialists.
- Provide technical direction to all other staff members as received from the director, BOP, and USPO.
- Masters degree in a human services discipline and one year of management/supervisory experience, or a bachelor's degree and three years of experience, including two years at the supervisory/managerial level.
- Knowledge of Federal Bureau of Prisons standards and regulations, as they apply to residential inmate centers.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
- Polished and diplomatic customer relation skills, verbally, in person, through telephone communications, and in writing.
- Ability to pass all required compliance checks and criminal history investigation, including Bureau of Prison NCIC/NLETS.
- This position may require overnight travel up to 10% of the time, as appropriate to the performance of duties and responsibilities.
