Job Title: Student Success Coach

Join the University of Tulsa team as a Student Success Coach, a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of undergraduate students. As a key member of the Center of Academic Advising, you will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a seamless transition to university life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized guidance and support to students, helping them navigate academic programs, course selection, and career goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address student needs, ensuring a comprehensive support system.
  • Stay up-to-date with university policies, procedures, and resources, providing expert advice to students and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of academic advising services, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience in higher education.
  • Proven experience in advising, student success, or a related field, with a strong understanding of student development theories and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation college students.
  • Knowledge of academic advising software and technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong understanding of university policies and procedures, with the ability to navigate complex systems.
