Job Summary

As an Instructional Coach at Community Action Project of Tulsa County, Inc., you will play a vital role in advancing the professional learning of teachers and improving student outcomes. Your expertise in early childhood education will enable you to facilitate and advance teaching practices, ensuring that our classrooms are equipped to provide high-quality services to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Observe and model developmentally appropriate instructional techniques and practices in the classroom, providing guidance and support to staff through individualized lesson plans and coaching.
  • Conduct formal coaching sessions, assist staff in setting and achieving coaching goals, and monitor the implementation of curriculum to ensure a positive impact on child outcomes.
  • Identify training needs of staff and participate in individual training plans for staff development, facilitating trainings as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with school leaders, teaching and learning specialists, and other relevant staff regarding coaching practices for assigned teachers.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate in-service programs based on staff needs, available resources, and community services.
  • Serve as an information liaison between teachers, management, and other stakeholders, attending meetings and collaborating with the teaching and learning team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of classroom experience as a degreed or certified lead teacher is required.
  • Experience teaching both preschool and infant/toddler children is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge and demonstrated practice of developmentally, culturally, and individually appropriate practice in early childhood classrooms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in professional settings.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, read, interpret, and present information efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to take initiative, multitask, and work well under pressure.
