Job Title: Assistant Director of Tennis, Men's Tennis Coach About Us: Oral Roberts University is a non-profit organization that values its staff and faculty, who make a difference in the lives of its students. Our team is passionate about what we do, and we want you to make us even better. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Tennis to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and instructing student-athletes in sport skills, academic achievement, spiritual growth, and life skills development. They will also oversee recruiting, scouting, and scheduling for the program, ensuring compliance with NCAA, Conference, University, Federal, and State regulations. Responsibilities: * Instruct student-athletes in practice and competition, evaluating their skills and performance records to determine their fitness and potential in athletics. * Organize and conduct practice sessions, arrange sports-related activities, and adjust coaching techniques based on athlete strengths and weaknesses. * Monitor academic progress of student-athletes, working closely with the Director of Academic Services to identify and resolve issues. * Monitor social and spiritual development of student-athletes, working with Athletic Chaplains and University personnel to develop programs and initiatives. * Coordinate community mission and community service outreach, teaching student-athletes the importance of giving back to the community. * Develop life skills programs, teaching and instruction in areas necessary for personal and professional success. * Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes, visiting high schools and homes to evaluate academic progress and familiarize families with the University's mission. * Maintain accurate recruiting records and attend athletic functions as required. * Solicit athletic department donors through promotional activities and perform various administrative duties as required. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience. * Two to four years of related experience is preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint is preferred. * Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. * Ability to make independent decisions and judgments on administrative and procedural issues. * Ability to analyze facts to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice.
