Position Details

Title: Intern, Land Siting and Acquisition

Location: Southeast strongly preferred

Role Summary

This internship will assist our Project Development Siting team, requiring collaboration with both the Business Development and Project Development teams to expand our portfolio of pre-development assets and support the pipeline of project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify high-potential project locations and negotiate land purchase options efficiently to meet our market demands.
  • Build and maintain strong community relationships as initial contacts, playing a crucial role in Silicon Ranch's long-term business model.
  • Work with the Community Engagement and Economic Development team to develop and sustain an initial community entry strategy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate with landowners and partners in a responsible manner.
  • Collaborate as a team player, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Represent the organization professionally with landowners, vendors, utilities, local officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and review project documentation diligently.
  • Facilitate the transition of siting assets to other team members.
  • Monitor Business Development activities in target markets and assist in the strategic prioritization of evolving needs.
  • Achieve project development siting objectives, managing a greenfielding portfolio, and expanding the project development pipeline.
Reporting Structure

Reports to various Managers in Project Development.

Qualifications

Silicon Ranch seeks current students (preferably Juniors and Seniors) or recent graduates who can commit to 20–40 hours per week. Relevant experience or coursework in project management, energy management, land development, real estate, or environmental science is required.
