We are currently seeking a Grinder/Material Handler to join our team. This role involves operating grinding machinery and packaging finished PVC pipe in appropriate quantities for distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and separate scrap materials.
  • Operate grinding machinery effectively.
  • Maintain full regrind bins.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the regrind area.
  • Assist in various departments as needed.
  • Weigh and transport finished products.
  • Cut crate boards to specified lengths and make necessary adjustments.
  • Support the operation of PVC extrusion lines.
  • Assist with changeovers and stringing the line downstream.
  • Identify pipe products that do not meet specifications.
  • Package finished pipe in correct crate quantities.
  • Perform maintenance and cleanup in production and storage areas.
  • Adhere to plant safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to complete all responsibilities.
  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for accurate counting and calculations.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple demands.
  • Capability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
