Job Summary

Thorlabs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk II to join our team. This role will contribute to the receiving and monitoring of inventory to meet demand forecasts and various corporate financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Execute transfers of product systematically and physically.
  • Create and process physical inventory counts and perform reconciliations as needed.
  • Perform daily cycle counts in accordance with the daily inventory SOP.
  • Review and process data entry in Axapta/Journals/Quarantines.
  • Monitor the Inventory Control Mailbox for inventory requests.
  • Recommend process improvements regarding policies and procedures to ensure adequate control of all purchases and inventories.
  • Cross-train in related Distribution department functions and assist as needed.
  • Understand and process ECRO procedures within IC.
  • Coordinate and participate in the year-end inventory audit process.
  • Understand customer needs and expectations as they relate to Inventory Control.
  • Cover responsibilities of Inventory Control Clerk I and II as necessary.
  • Coordinate within the business unit to ensure best practices for inventory accuracy are being followed.
  • Working knowledge of the Production order and QC workflows.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of prior manufacturing experience with specialized background experience in inventory control.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with Axapta (or other ERP system) and RFSmart system.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the company.
  • Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
