Job Overview

The Electronics Systems Specialist will be responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical systems, and components. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and apply skills to restore equipment to operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test new products, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, laser sources, drives, gages, and test equipment.
  • Advise and train technicians and assemblers on operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Maintain company-required performance and test reports for identified equipment.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of troubleshooting electronic systems experience.
  • Experience in soldering required.
  • Using schematics, demonstrate the ability to identify components and explain basic electronic theory of circuits.
