Position Summary:
The Laboratory Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our pharmacy lab. This full-time position reports directly to the Pharmacy Operations Manager and is essential for ensuring that all labware and dishes are properly cleaned and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Thoroughly wash all labware and dishes as directed by the lab supervisor.
2. Properly organize and store clean equipment, supplies, and dishes in designated areas.
3. Transport dishes and supplies to their assigned locations.
4. Conduct end-of-day cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing counters and sinks, as well as disposing of trash and shredding materials.
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
6. Manage inventory of non-drug items and assist with the breakdown of received items.
7. Collaborate with other staff members during monthly deep cleaning initiatives.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or dishwashing role is preferred.
- A Pharmacy Technician license is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must pass a drug screening, background check, and pre-employment verification process.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Preferred: Licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions and understand cleaning standards.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a thorough approach to tasks.
- Capability to work effectively with lab staff.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs. as needed.
