Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to support the Product Director Sensors – Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment PD SAI core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of PD SAI and its associated Product Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within PD SAI.

This position is pending funding.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for PD SAI program training devices, computer programming, electronics, and networks to ensure effective operation and maintenance.
  • Design and create training materials, including lesson plans, POIs, student guides/workbooks, training aids, and other supporting documentation.
  • Provide resident and on-site technical assistance and training in the operation and maintenance of assigned systems and associate items to gaining audits/installations in/from CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Instruct on the theory of operation, including electronics, computer programming, and analysis of malfunction reports, system trouble shooting, and repair up to depot level.
  • Establish and maintain early and continuous working relationships with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and appropriate development and production activities during the development of training materials.
  • Ensure training materials are current, up-to-date, and aligned with maintenance and engineering requirements.
  • Respond to questions and problems from the field in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field (4 years of direct relevant experience may be substituted for education).
  • Minimum of 5 years of training experience in military systems (4 years military service, E6 or higher, may be considered as military training experience).
  • Active Secret Clearance required (US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Government Clearance).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Past experience working in PD SAI or PEO IEW&S systems/projects.
