The Army CECOM is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of IT Specialist - Systems Administrator. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of system and process enhancement projects, focusing on SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their business needs and assist in the development of system improvement initiatives.
- Support intricate daily operations across various SAP modules including FI, SD, MM, WM, SCP, PS, MT, PLM, BPM, PM, DFPS, HR, Security BPM, and MRM.
- Collaborate with customers and system stakeholders to manage requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure that solutions are in accordance with the specified requirements by consulting with multiple business process owners to identify and document business objectives and current procedures.
- Review functional specifications prepared by other analysts and provide constructive feedback prior to customer approval.
- Coordinate with technical management to guarantee the accurate translation of functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct advanced master data and transactional configuration for standard SAP solutions within the specified modules.
- Work closely with business analysts and development teams to devise solutions for challenges that cannot be addressed through standard SAP configurations.
- Oversee and review documentation produced by junior analysts, providing feedback on functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and other relevant documentation.
- Perform detailed functional and technical troubleshooting to resolve production support issues, collaborating with business process owners and technical teams to document and resolve problems.
- Introduce SAP best practices in the relevant areas to clients and collaborate with change management teams to facilitate daily operations and support.
Qualifications
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and meet the experience requirements outlined below. Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service. To qualify for the IT Specialist position, candidates must demonstrate experience in the following competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Demonstrates thoroughness and conscientiousness in work. 2) Customer Service - Engages with clients to assess needs and provide quality service. 3) Oral Communication - Effectively conveys information to various audiences. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies issues and evaluates alternatives to make informed recommendations. Additionally, candidates must possess one year of specialized experience in: 1. Evaluating software configurations for SAP applications; 2. Resolving technical issues related to major SAP systems; and 3. Collaborating with stakeholders to translate needs into functional requirements and create comprehensive design specifications.
