Position Overview:

Amentum is actively seeking several Training Specialist (Intermediate) roles to support the Product Director Sensors - Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) office. This initiative aims to deliver comprehensive services to the U.S. Army, including programmatic and business management, engineering support, and acquisition services, enhancing the capabilities of PD SAI and its associated Product Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with clients to:
  • Deliver training on PD SAI program training devices, including computer programming, electronics, and networking for end-users and support personnel.
  • Create training materials and facilitate classes on proper operation and maintenance of PD SAI programs for various Department of Defense agencies.
  • Provide both resident and on-site technical assistance and training, focusing on the operation and maintenance of assigned systems for audits/installations.
  • Instruct on system theory and operation, including electronics, programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Develop new training resources such as lesson plans, student guides, and training aids.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with project managers and contractors during the development of training materials.
  • Ensure training materials are current and maintain close collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Address inquiries and issues from the field effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (4 years of relevant experience may substitute for education).
  • A minimum of 5 years of training experience in military systems (4 years of military service at E6 or higher may be considered).
  • An active Secret Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship is necessary to obtain this clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience with PD SAI or PEO IEW&S systems/projects.
