Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist Sr to join our team at UCHealth. In this role, you will be responsible for registering patients for services, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining pre-certification/authorization as necessary. You will also be responsible for determining and accepting required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or referring to financial counselors for follow up.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation, providing explanations of visit, instructions, and addressing concerns and questions.
  • Communicate with referring provider's offices, clinical departments, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedules.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow up.
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
