Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at UCHealth. In this role, you will be responsible for registering patients for services, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring that all necessary demographic and billing information is obtained and entered into our registration system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation
  • Communicate with referring providers' offices, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and determine schedules
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered into the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
Requirements
  • Minimum Required Education: None required
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Relevant life support certification as determined at position level
  • Minimum Experience: None required
