Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Planning, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the fabrication and installation of detail parts and assemblies for aircraft. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the fabrication and installation of detail parts and assemblies for aircraft
  • Develop and maintain visual and written work instructions for multiple systems and structures
  • Maintain the build sequence of the aircraft, adjusting as needed to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery
  • Create and maintain master build orders and bills of materials
  • Support corrective action investigations and resolutions
  • Support addressing issues with planning affecting the issuance of the Certificate of Airworthiness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Manufacturing Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in creating and maintaining planning documentation, either visual or written
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with fabrication, assembly, and/or installations
  • Experience with composite drilling, assembly, electrical harness and avionics installations, and sheet metal fabrication a plus
  • Experience with GD&T a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings/models and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of configuration management and the creation/maintenance of MBOMs
  • Ability to convert complex processes into easy-to-understand and followed instructions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment to solve problems
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. The incumbent may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
