About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the University of Washington's Harborview Medical Center. As a critical member of our Department of Pediatrics' Youth Clinics, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional care to homeless and unstably housed youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial, substance abuse, and social service needs assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, providing case management and psychotherapy services
  • Make referrals to other services or agencies and assist clients in following through with those referrals
  • Work with a child/adolescent psychiatrist to recommend and monitor the use of medication in mental health treatment
  • Participate in psychiatric consultation, supervision, and program meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's Degree in a behavioral science, such as psychology, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, vocational or educational counseling, or social work. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a behavioral science with three years of experience in direct delivery of professional mental health care is also acceptable. You must be licensed and able to be credentialed for billing for services.
