Key Responsibilities
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists to plan and deliver precise radiation treatments to patients with cancer.
  • Equipment Calibration: Ensure that radiation therapy equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for radiation safety and quality assurance.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to staff on radiation safety and quality assurance procedures.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the State of Florida.
  • Certification: American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) certification.
  • Education: Master's degree in physics (M.S.).
  • Experience: Previous management experience in a hospital radiation oncology department.
