Radiation Oncology Physicist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncology Physicist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a Radiation Oncology Physicist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of radiation therapy treatments for cancer patients.

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of radiation therapy treatments, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists.
  • Ensure that all radiation therapy equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Develop and implement advanced cancer radiation treatment technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to Associates on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the State of Florida.
  • American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) Certification.
  • Master's degree in physics (M.S.).
  • Ability to operate complex computerized equipment.
  • Previous management experience in a hospital radiation oncology department.
