Role Summary
The Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in developing and executing visual concepts that effectively communicate messages and ideas. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams to create visually striking graphics, document templates, report layouts, and other media for diverse platforms.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proficiency in graphic design software and tools.
  • A robust portfolio demonstrating a variety of design projects.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work autonomously, managing multiple projects and deadlines while proactively identifying and completing tasks.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, animation, motion graphics, 3D modeling, or illustration skills is advantageous.
  • Understanding of web design principles and user experience is preferred.
  • Video editing and post-production skills are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Creativity and a strong grasp of visual aesthetics.
  • Effective collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient asset management and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities

Creative Conceptualization and Design

  • Generate innovative concepts and design graphics, including logos, illustrations, infographics, and layouts that resonate with the organization’s vision and target demographics.
  • Utilize graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create and refine visuals.
  • Select and implement suitable fonts and typography to enhance design appeal and readability. Choose color schemes that align with the intended message.
  • Edit and adapt images, photographs, and illustrations to meet organizational standards and maintain quality.
  • Create designs for various print materials and campaigns, including brochures, flyers, posters, and digital newsletters.
  • Design graphics for websites, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms, ensuring visual engagement.

Brand Management

  • Develop and uphold brand identity guidelines, ensuring uniformity across all design materials.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand design requirements, offer recommendations, and integrate feedback.

General Duties

  • Manage multiple design projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure contemporary and relevant designs.
  • Review designs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines prior to final production.
  • Assist with organizational communications as assigned.
