Medical Support Specialist

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our donors have a positive experience at our plasma collection centers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive donor experience
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Current licensure or certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
