Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Watsco. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the HVAC industry.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Grow Customer Accounts: Actively manage and grow assigned customer accounts, increasing the adoption of our digital tools for ordering and ensuring a balanced sales mix of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Market Analysis and Positioning: Analyze market trends and customer needs to position Watsco effectively in the HVAC industry.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Report on sales activity and forecast to senior management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: Achieve and maintain a high level of customer account digital engagement and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Utilization of CRM and Analytics Tools: Utilize our CRM tool to manage and grow assigned customer accounts effectively, keep detailed records of sales activities, and track customer interactions, as well as leverage our analytics tools to analyze sales data and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong Sales Drive and Motivation: Strong interest in sales, with the drive and motivation to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
  • Comfort with Technology: Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly learn new software, including proficiency in Salesforce CRM or the willingness to learn.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform sales strategies.
  • Self-Motivation and Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Energetic and enthusiastic demeanor, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in HVAC or related industry is a plus.
  • Education: BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
