Position Overview:
In this role, you will oversee kitchen operations during designated shifts. You may also be required to engage in food production tasks while managing kitchen staff. You will be responsible for controlling food production costs and must possess the ability to train and inspire a skilled team. Effective communication with other departmental managers and team members is essential.Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is typically set at an hourly rate of $14.23.
Daily Responsibilities:The core responsibilities of this position include:
- Implementing and maintaining proper receiving and storage protocols.
- Ensuring adherence to production procedures through standardized recipes, established par levels, employee training, and presentation standards.
- Enforcing food safety protocols, including regular temperature checks and documentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Adjusting staffing levels to align with consumer demand during shifts.
- Performing tasks of various kitchen positions while supervising staff as needed.
- Utilizing training materials to uphold high standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with other hotel personnel to achieve departmental objectives.
- Participating in monthly all-employee meetings.

Qualifications for Success:- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role within a high-volume establishment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lift over 30 pounds while moving and twisting.
- Capacity to work extended hours in elevated temperatures.
- Serve-Safe certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Compliance with uniform requirements as specified.
- Effective communication skills with coworkers and guests.
This position may involve supervisory duties based on the needs of the agency.
