Join our team as a Patient Care Tech and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in our renal dialysis facility.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients undergoing renal dialysis treatments and supporting administrative functions under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform direct care to patients undergoing renal dialysis treatments, including preparing and monitoring equipment used for hemodialysis.
- Assist with administrative support functions, such as scheduling, chart preparation, and data collection.
- Provide clinical support to licensed healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures, including preparing laboratory specimens and performing testing.
- Document and capture charges for clinical support services rendered within the patient visit.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe environment and supporting Renal Services standards.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Certified as a Patient Care Dialysis Technician by a State Agency or Nationally Recognized Certification Program within 18 months of hire date.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping/traveling, and repetitive motion. The employee must be able to lift/push/pull lbs. and be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
