Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Research Electro-Optics. This role will be responsible for maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced production environment, including facilities maintenance of the building.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of PLCs and ability to access programs for troubleshooting purposes
  • Common knowledge of hand tools and electrical testing equipment
  • Maintains detailed documentation of service repair tickets and preventive maintenance tasks performed
  • Supports Safety Program with facilities issues
  • Troubleshoots and performs preventive maintenance and reports on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors, and rotating machinery
  • Works with production personnel to troubleshoot and understand mechanical problems
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs complex mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checks blueprints, repair manuals, and maintains parts catalog
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant facility maintenance function(s)
  • HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical experience/skills preferred
  • PLC Programming and Manufacturing experience required
  • Cleanroom, Building Automated Systems, and DI Water experience is a plus
  • Personal Computer skills including proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated dependability and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to be on your feet for eight hours
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or trade school preferred
