About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hain Celestial Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging, milling, and blending equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Conduct yearly rebuilds on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and tear, and recommend repairs as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, including daily reports, inventory, and safety sheets.
  • Identify and report food safety and quality issues, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines, including GMPs, allergen programs, quality, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience in a mechanical repair capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a packaging manufacturing environment, or similar education and/or experience with PLC.
  • Possess own hand tools outlined by Hain Celestial Group.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience troubleshooting and installing high-speed industrial machinery.
  • Project management skills, with ability to see projects through to completion with attention to detail in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work within a team concept, with flexibility and strong communication skills.
  • Strong background in electronics and PLC-controlled processes.
  • Strong machining and welding skills desirable.
  • Strong safety record and good attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and have computer skills to use maintenance software.
  • Ability to communicate complex mechanical processes and theory to other mechanics.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop, and bend.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock, and explosives.
  • Typical noise level in the work environment is moderate, with occasional need for ear protection.
