Our company operates through three main segments: Human Nutrition & Health, Animal Nutrition & Health, and Specialty Products. Balchem employs over 1,400 dedicated professionals worldwide, all focused on propelling the company toward global market leadership.


POSITION SUMMARY:

This role reports directly to the Director of Ruminant Sales, Americas, and is responsible for overseeing the Ruminant business in the Eastern United States and Canada.

The responsibilities will be allocated as follows:

  • 40% of time dedicated to developing, coaching, and managing the Eastern US ruminant sales team.
  • 30% focused on supporting key strategic accounts, including Channel and Large Dairy.
  • 30% committed to corporate activities and national project support, such as new product launches and marketing strategies for the Canadian market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide leadership and coaching to Balchem and Sedona employees in the Eastern Region. Collaborate with the Ruminant Director to recruit and nurture talent consistently.

Work closely with the Technical Services Specialist to optimize team performance within the region.

Contribute to achieving the business unit's sales and profitability objectives by ensuring that goals are transparent and progress is tracked monthly.

Guide national and regional channel audiences to achieve high performance through effective planning and feedback.

Manage contracts and incentives while providing strategic guidance to accounts within the region.

Focus on larger dairies that require attention beyond local sales support, developing programs and incentives that connect Balchem brands to their success.

Engage with key nutritionists, veterinarians, and industry leaders to foster relationships that can lead to channel opportunities.

Utilize Salesforce CRM for data management and analysis, ensuring efficient use of Excel for reporting.

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including safe driving practices and compliance with corporate policies.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years of experience in the Animal Nutrition/Health industry
  • Willingness to travel, with approximately 60% travel required
