Ignite a Love of Learning: Special Education Teacher (Elementary)

Are you a dedicated educator seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners? Soliant Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team in a dynamic elementary school setting.

This is an ASAP interview opportunity for the upcoming school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of elementary school students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that ignites a love of learning and celebrates each student's individuality.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated instruction to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Closely monitor student progress, utilize data to inform instruction, and make adjustments to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create a cohesive support system for each student.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
  • Valid Virginia Teaching License with a specialization in Special Education.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with elementary school students in a special education setting (preferred).
  • In-depth understanding of child development, learning theories, and differentiated instruction practices.
  • Strong foundation in curriculum development, assessment, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
