Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a Beautiful and Orderly Environment: Design and maintain a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing classroom that promotes concentration, independence, and deep learning.
  • Cultivate Independence and Self-Confidence: Encourage children to take ownership of their learning and develop essential life skills, such as dressing, feeding, and caring for themselves.
  • Provide Individualized Support: Offer personalized lessons and guidance to support each child's development in practical skills, literacy, math, and other areas.
  • Form Personal Connections: Build strong relationships with each child and their families, fostering a sense of community and respect.
  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and provide the best possible support for every child.
Requirements
  • Montessori Diploma: A Montessori diploma is preferred, but not required. We are committed to supporting our staff in obtaining their Montessori certification.
  • Background Check: A current background check in the state of Washington is required.
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 12 ECE or Child Development credits is preferred, and experience working with the appropriate age group is essential.
