Job Summary:The Childcare Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing daily lesson plans for infant, toddler, and preschool programs. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and lead daily lesson plans for infant, toddler, and preschool programs
- Organize and participate in games and activities that promote learning and development
- Provide weekly lesson plans to parents and maintain open communication
- Prepare materials and maintain a safe and clean learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and arrival/departure times
- Supervise children at all times and provide guidance and support as needed
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain a positive relationship with parents
- Maintain the quality and quantity of supplies, equipment, and materials in the classroom
- Discipline children and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior
- Handle parent concerns and provide support as needed
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA preferred
- 6-12 months of childcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles
- Ability and desire to work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children
- Working knowledge of computers and experience with software applications
- Certifications in Blood Borne Pathogen, CPR, and First Aid required within 60 days
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT), fingerprinting, DHS clearance, and negative T.B. skin test required
