Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advanced Radiology Consultants. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams with a high level of quality and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality and timeliness.
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with dressings as necessary.
  • Complete all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
  • Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions.
  • Administer I.V. contrast.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Complete related paperwork and obtain interpretation by radiologists.
  • Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the site manager.
  • Focus on customer service and use courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types.
  • Siemens, GE experience preferred.
