Work Schedule:
Evening Shift - Flexible hours with Saturday Rotation

The MRI Imaging Specialist will conduct MRI examinations following established protocols and procedures, utilizing independent judgment to guarantee superior diagnostic quality and outstanding patient care.

This role also involves assisting Radiologists with specialized procedures, such as arthrograms, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, preparing patients, operating equipment, and fulfilling related clinical and administrative responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI procedures as directed, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Guide patients to the treatment area and assist with any necessary preparations.
  • Complete all required documentation to facilitate prompt MRI service delivery.
  • Clarify MRI procedures to alleviate patient concerns and inquiries.
  • Administer intravenous contrast as needed.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
  • Conduct quality control assessments to monitor equipment performance and report any issues to management.
  • Prioritize customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy in interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or have six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience. ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure are mandatory. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in various MRI procedures is required, with Siemens and GE experience preferred.
