Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Representative I to join our team at the City of Baltimore. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for receiving, responding to, and resolving telephone inquiries, problems, and complaints from customers concerning city bills and payment processing matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and provide solutions
  • Work with customers to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • Meet productivity and quality standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of experience in high-volume public contact work involving complaint and problem resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions

This position requires working in an office environment with minimal physical exertion. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a high-volume production environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
