Core Responsibilities
  • Support the HR leadership in strategically enhancing the effectiveness of the HR department.
  • Foster a positive labor and employee relations atmosphere within the designated business unit.

Conduct workplace investigations or inquiries as guided by the HR leader, addressing employee concerns or policy violations.

  • Ensure retention rates for hourly production employees meet acceptable standards.

This role may also involve data entry into timekeeping systems and managing job and vacation bidding processes.

  • Gather and analyze HR data, providing insights to the HR leader on workforce planning, conducting orientations, and supporting on-the-job training initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and executing the location’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, as well as the Affirmative Action Plan, while maintaining a positive employee relations environment.

Provide essential resources to equip employees with necessary knowledge and materials regarding FMLA, LOA, ADA, and Workday resources.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field, along with 2+ years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of employment law practices.
  • Experience in managing benefits, compensation, and other HR programs.
  • Familiarity with commonly used HRIS such as Workday, payroll/timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience with Workday/HCM systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or another language is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must demonstrate respect, approachability, and a team-oriented mindset while fostering strong working relationships and a positive workplace culture.
