Job Overview

This position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week, with a preference for flexible availability.

Key Responsibilities:
· Welcome all visitors as they enter the facility and guide them to their designated seating areas.
· Provide fresh, appealing, and well-prepared food and beverages at the concession stand.
· Assist patrons in selecting souvenirs at the gift shop.
· Engage with customers at the auditorium entrance, offering assistance with their entertainment selections.
· Deliver necessary announcements for entry, welcome, exit, or intermission periods.
· Conduct inventory checks for concession and gift shop merchandise.
· Handle ticket sales for the IMAX Theatre and Planetarium.
· Respond to inquiries on the guest services phone line and provide assistance as needed.

All individuals in this role are expected to excel in customer satisfaction and contribute to maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a background check is required.
  • Capability to lift heavy items and assist with event setups.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

The Challenger Learning Center serves as the K-12 outreach facility for the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, with support from local government and cultural organizations.
