Radiation Oncology Data Coordinator

The Radiation Oncology Data Specialist plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families at St. Joseph Hospital. This position is a key part of the Intermountain Health team, promoting the organization's mission, vision, and values by adhering to our service and behavior standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and direct them to the registration process or check them in for treatment.
- Answer phone calls and assist callers with their inquiries.
- Check and address voicemails in a timely manner.
- Triage and process incoming referrals, including insurance verification using various methods.
- Schedule patient consultations and follow-ups as needed.
- Obtain signatures and verify demographic information from patients at the beginning of each month.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and check email regularly for requests.
- Load treatment consents and other documents into Aria and scan documents into EPIC via Solarity.
- Request previous medical records and verify physician schedules in Aria.
- Reschedule patients affected by changes in MD schedules and check stock of supplies.
- Refill stock of Welcome Folders and respond to requests from other caregivers.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards patients and other caregivers.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of clerical experience in an accredited hospital or medical facility
- Computer experience in data entry and word processing
- Experience working with Epic
- Previous experience completing insurance verifications
This position is located at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and requires a 40-hour workweek.
The hourly range for this position is $18.38 - $26.65, and Intermountain Health offers a comprehensive benefits package to support the well-being of our caregivers.
