Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiation Oncology Data Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our department, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, while promoting our organization's mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and direct them to the registration process or check them in for treatment
  • Answer phone calls and assist callers with their inquiries
  • Check and address voicemails
  • Triage and process incoming referrals, including insurance verification
  • Schedule patient consultations and follow-ups
  • Obtain signatures and verify demographic information
  • Verify patient insurance and check email regularly
  • Load treatment consents and documents into Aria
  • Scan documents into EPIC and request previous medical records
  • Verify physician schedules and reschedule patients as needed
  • Check stock of supplies and order biweekly
  • Respond to requests from other caregivers and maintain a positive demeanor
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of clerical experience in a hospital or medical facility
  • Computer experience in data entry and word processing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Epic
  • Previous experience completing insurance verifications
