Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Power and Analog Systems

At Raytheon Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Sensor Power and Analog Design Department (SPAD). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing power systems, power conversion, and control systems for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power systems, power conversion, and control systems for our products
  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop proven designs based on system performance and operational specifications
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power system, conversion (and related analog) circuitry and distribution products
  • Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule
  • Resolve production issues related to existing product designs
  • Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff
  • Engage in personal technical growth, and facilitate technical growth in peers
  • Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • 5+ years of experience in power system design, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems
  • Experience in modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • Hardware development experience in a Department of Defense environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small projects or processes
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs
  • Existing security clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
