We are looking for a highly skilled Healthcare Operations Specialist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in documenting standard operating procedures and business rules for the department, communicating effectively with superiors, peers, employees, internal and external customers, and others as appropriate, and resolving problems relating to all areas of Patient/Third Party billings and missing information.

You will also be responsible for responding to patient complaints and escalated issues, collaborating with team members to ensure continuous improvement in processes, maintaining current knowledge of billing requirements, denials, and system practices, obtaining authorizations for office and OR procedures, MRI authorizations, insurance verification, scheduling peer to peer for doctors for denied procedures, working appeals, AR follow-up, and depositing cash to the cashier weekly/biweekly.

To succeed in this role, you will require 3+ years of experience in the medical field, including medical terminology, knowledge of obtaining prior authorizations and verification of insurance, and demonstrated excellent communication skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $26.15 per hour, based on the job requirements and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
