Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist II to join our team at the Gigafactory in Reno, Nevada. As an EHS Specialist II, you will play a key role in leading and implementing EHS programs and guidelines to support our battery production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Leadership: Develop and implement written environmental, health & safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical consultant/subject matter expert for EHS programs and policies, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, and identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to promote a culture of quality, safety, and compliance throughout the organization.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with production and support teams to implement and support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs, and effectively communicate EHS information to stakeholders.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of EHS experience, with 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on environmental compliance activities.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and ISO 14001 or 45001 Lead Auditor.
