As the Grants Financial Manager, you will operate under the guidance of the Financial Director, playing a vital role in both pre-award and post-award processes for Principal Investigators. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing fiscal management and financial analysis of various funding sources.
  • Administering extramural grants, contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements.
  • Collaborating with Principal Investigators to ensure effective financial oversight and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Developing comprehensive budgets and providing expert guidance to faculty and staff.
  • Conducting complex financial analyses to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field accompanied by three years of experience.
  • A solid understanding of research administration guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of transactions and perform intricate financial analyses.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and experience in managing contracts and grants.
  • Expertise in creating detailed situational analyses and proficiency with ECERT.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ESR Oracle Financial systems, UC Path, Kuali, or similar platforms.
