Work Schedule:
This position operates on a part-time, on-call basis, requiring a minimum of 18 shifts monthly, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
Shift Details:

Position Overview:
Foster supportive relationships with clients while assisting children and families in addressing their needs and managing crisis situations, ultimately aiming for solutions that enhance stability and permanence.
Compensation:
On-call stipend per shift, with a rate of $16.48 per hour for actual hours worked, including crisis response, training, and documentation tasks.
A Day in the Life of a Community Outreach Advocate:
- Respond promptly to crisis calls within 60 minutes
- Engage with children, teens, adults, and families facing immediate crises
- Utilize trauma-informed and family-centered approaches for positive intervention, stabilization, and conflict resolution
- Timely documentation and submission of all services provided (Crisis-Safety Plan)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in child welfare preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possession of an insured vehicle
- A minimum of three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
- Successful completion of all necessary training related to the role
