Join our team at SAL Community Services as a Technical Assistance Specialist, where you will play a vital role in supporting licensed home child care providers in the Quad Cities area. As a member of our team, you will work closely with providers to enhance their skills and knowledge, ultimately improving the quality of care for children in our community.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a strong background in early childhood education, with a focus on budgets, grants, and communication. As a Technical Assistance Specialist, you will provide one-on-one consultation and technical assistance to home child care providers, helping them to develop and implement effective business practices. You will also identify and develop professional development and training opportunities for providers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance and consultation to home child care providers on business administration, grant development, and technical writing.
- Identify and develop professional development and training opportunities for providers, including workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching.
- Recruit and enroll participating home child care providers, completing necessary paperwork and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Conduct regular check-in meetings with providers to assess their needs and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Communicate with providers through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person meetings, to provide information and resources on grant opportunities and other relevant topics.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in early childhood education, with a focus on business administration and communication. You will also need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including home child care providers, program staff, and community partners.
