Job Summary

As a Family Child Care Specialist with SAL Community Services, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed home child care providers in the Quad Cities area. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with existing agencies, coordinate services, and provide child care referral services to families seeking care within our network. You will also be responsible for recruiting and enrolling participating home child care providers, completing necessary paperwork, and producing reports and projections to administrative personnel. Additionally, you will visit home providers on a regular basis to document quality of care and regulate compliance. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with existing agencies and coordinate services for home providers.
  • Recruit and enroll participating home child care providers; complete necessary paperwork.
  • Provide child care referral services to families seeking child care within Home Child Care Network.
  • Produce necessary reports and projections to administrative personnel within established timelines.
  • Visit home providers on regular, monthly basis; document quality of care and regulate compliance.

Requirements
  • Associates Degree in child development or social work or related field plus at least two years of experience in family/home day care and/or licensed child care center with experience exercising leadership skills, problem solving, issues related to early childhood providers, and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • In lieu of an Associate's Degree, 10+ years of experience as a licensed childcare home provider while also working towards completion of an Associate's Degree may be considered qualified.
