Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:- Provide ongoing consultation and guidance to staff on using new and innovative strategies for supporting students with special needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that include annual goals for students with special needs.
- Coordinate curricular resources to ensure IEP objectives are met in an organized and sequential manner.
- Attend staff trainings, meetings, committees, and teacher meetings to stay informed about best practices and collaborate with colleagues.
- Monitor student progress throughout the year, including annual IEP goals, and provide direct support as needed.
- Collaborate with specialists, such as occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, to ensure seamless support for students.
- Bachelor's degree and Highly Qualified status required.
- Two years of teaching experience in a high-need, high-performing school and evidence of impact on student learning preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and communication abilities required.
