About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education and Case Manager to join our team at Focused Staffing.

Job Summary

The Special Education and Case Manager will provide support and guidance to special education students in an urban public school setting, with a focus on academic achievement and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruction and Support: Provide high-quality instruction and support to special education students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed academically and personally.
  • IEP Development and Implementation: Collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of education provided to students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a middle or high school setting, preferably in an urban public school environment with a proven track record of high student achievement.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree from a reputable college or university, with a concentration or advanced degree in special education highly preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Special Education Certification is required.

Please note that we offer a full-time position with 37.5-40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, with a day shift schedule.
