About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Central Sterilization Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Process and sterilize medical/surgical supplies and equipment to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with our surgical teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our sterilization processes and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year experience in processing and sterilization.
  • Current status as a certified registered central service technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterilization Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT).
  • Completion of educational requirements to maintain certification.
  • Successful completion of an approved central service technician course or competency certification through national organization (IAHCSMM or CBSPD).
