Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide top-notch technical support and services to our end-users, ensuring they have the best possible experience with our technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective technical support for computer desktops and technology-related issues.
  • Operate and test AV and integrated conference rooms to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and displays.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to resolve problems or identify resolutions to vendors or manufacturers.
  • Install, configure, repair, maintain, and upgrade Windows/Mac hardware and related equipment.
  • Assist with IT inventory and participate in UHD initiatives.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings and perform special projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have a strong understanding of technology and be able to learn new systems and software quickly.
