As a Clinical Charge Master Specialist, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining an accurate and complete Charge-master to ensure appropriate submission, reimbursement, and compliance with governmental billing regulations across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of coding and Charge Master Data Management (CDM) principles and practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and revenue teams to standardize the CDM and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the EPIC project team to implement and maintain the CDM system.
  • Provide training and support to staff on CDM best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in coding and CDM regulations and implement updates as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Finance, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in coding and CDM knowledge at an acute care hospital.
  • Experience working with Fiscal Intermediary requirements and the ability to obtain working knowledge of all FI's utilized across our entities.
  • EPIC certification required within 2 years of hire date.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals.
