As a Clinical Charge Master Specialist, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining an accurate and complete Charge-master to ensure appropriate submission, reimbursement, and compliance with governmental billing regulations across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of coding and Charge Master Data Management (CDM) principles and practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and revenue teams to standardize the CDM and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the EPIC project team to implement and maintain the CDM system.
- Provide training and support to staff on CDM best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in coding and CDM regulations and implement updates as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Finance, Nursing, or a related field.
- Significant experience in coding and CDM knowledge at an acute care hospital.
- Experience working with Fiscal Intermediary requirements and the ability to obtain working knowledge of all FI's utilized across our entities.
- EPIC certification required within 2 years of hire date.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals.
